Drakengard 3

I know you have probably seen this game on my Youtube channel already, but I wanted to make sure I post about it on my blog.  I plan on finishing Drakengard 3 on this channel and maybe complete it 100 percent.  Have fun watching the bloodshed from lust crazed protagonists.  This game is really fun.

Getting Back into Story Time! Let's Play BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma STORY PT16

Suggestions for the Near Future

What Should I play Next?

Any suggestions?  I know this is October and the month of horror games.  What to play?  Any suggestions?  I have a limited amount of money, so whatever triple A game is out now might be out of the question.  I would like to hear your suggestions, anyway.

Let's Play BlazBlue Chrono Phantasm Story

BlazBlue Story Mode1
I like fighting games and I like story.  I am finishing up the story of BlazBlue Chrono Phantasm.  I have read Japanese visual novels before and I am used to long stories.  This story took me about ten hours to complete, reading everything out loud.  I think I should have at least one story focused let's play on my

To Get the Sims 4 or Not?

So I realized that Sims 4 is coming out today.  I may or may not buy this game and have some videos posted by the time this blog post is out.   Thanks to my new job, I can buy this game.  I have been researching why I should buy this game.  The Sims Wikia is a pretty good source of information and also Sims 3 Loser.

If I do buy this game, you could see me put an avatar of myself in the game and possibly becoming a criminal.  However, I normally do not purchase the base games of the Sims games until I see an expansion pack coming in the future.

Busy Till the End of November?

I just got a job that will be starting this Monday and then ending, probably, in the middle or at the end of November.  Knowing my luck with most temp jobs, I will probably be leaving at the beginning of November.

This job means that I will have less time to upload videos.  Most of the time, I will upload videos that were recorded in one day.  Since this job is a Photoshop job, I can learn a bit of graphic skills that could help me make better thumbnails help me when I am editing videos in Adobe Premiere.

Evo 2014

<iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/RuzaqjCsJlk?list=UUXmJdEABwGQ_3dyr-eRfmfg" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe>

I went 2 and 2 at my first time at Evo for Injustice.  Only wanting to focus on one tournament, I entered in only Injustice.  I have photos of what I brought and other tournaments on my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.735780929811988.1073741833.503598629696887&amp;type=3">Facebook page</a>.

What this tournament taught me was the importance of learning match ups and thinking outside of the box.  There was something wonderful about watching the Japanese players play BlazBlue.  They knew everything about the characters but went above and beyond.  No playing by the book.  There will be BlazBlue videos on my channel soon.

I will be still playing Injustice but I am devoting more time to playing a variety of people and seeing how other characters work.  This way, I can be a better Aquaman player.

It was fun playing Devil May Spy as we always talked at tournaments but never played each other.  None of the people in our group got out of pools but my boyfriend, DarkSteel, was close.  The above video is DarkSteel playing against Chris G again after beating him in at The Fall Classic.  You can see the end result in the video.

Please enjoy the photos on my <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.735780929811988.1073741833.503598629696887&amp;type=3">Evo 2014 album</a> on Facebook.

I felt the effects of jet lag and fell asleep in my hotel room, missing out on casuals.  Despite that, I feel like I became a stronger player.  Next year, I will be playing Injustice and Blazblue at Evo.

Got the Elgato and Reuploading Drakengard 3 Vids

Last week, I mentioned that I was getting the Elgato.  Now since I have the Elgato, I am now redoing my Drakengard 3 let's play.  Elgato is pretty clear and the dazzle was like taking a crappy phone and recording gameplay footage with it.

Update 6/26/2014

Like I said, I'm getting an Elgato.

Last week, I did a few Drakengard 3 videos.    Unfortunately, all game capture cards are not created equal and I discovered how badly the dazzle sucked. I thought the dazzle would be great because of of this video but I was wrong.

There ARE ways to make the videos produced by dazzle great but it requires a lot of work. Work, that I don't feel like doing. I ordered an Elgato last Friday. If anyone wants a good laugh, then here is a comparison video between the Elgato and the Dazzle

Game Collaborations with GenTsuRoxas and Darksteel

I've been going to a place called That Game Store. So far, they have been doing a number of things such as Injustice, Super Smash Bros Melee, and Ultra Street Fighter Four tournaments. Almost every Sunday, our team, Gamer's Leagues of Virtue, have a retro night. We're playing Phantasy Star Online Episode 1.

This was recorded with my Dazzle.  Zappa, an Injustice player, showed me how to use an El Gato.  El Gato will be a capture device that I look forward to taking a huge look at whenever I have the extra spending money to upgrade from my Dazzle.  I did a few recording tests with the Dazzle and will be able to let's play Drakengard 3 soon.

E3 Is Happening Today

Today is E3 Conference!  Today is the <a href="http://www.xbox.com/en-US/e3/live-event/desktop#fbid=AiySS0X3_z1">Microsoft Conference</a>.  There is a number of ways to watch E3.   On Spike TV for those with cable or on the E3 stream.   For people who want a more personal experience and a chance to chat with people at the same time, then:

<span style="color: #006621;">www.</span><b style="color: #006621;">twitch</b><span style="color: #006621;">.tv/</span><b style="color: #006621;">polaris</b>

<span style="color: #006621;">www.twitch.tv/</span><b style="color: #006621;">blackbustertwitch</b><span style="color: #006621;">/</span>

Honestly, I'm sure you'll have a better chance to get a response from blackbuster.  Polaris and Blackbuster offer real opinions of E3 while Spike and E3 streams offer a more official look at games.  So, personal or official? You decide.

Civil War VI and Gaming Schedule

If you have been following my tumblr account, then you know that I have been busy.  Last week I went to Civil War 6, my old fightstick died on me, I went 2 and 2 in the Injustice tournament, and I fought the only joker player in all of history.  Apparently, joker is a bad match up for Aquaman.  Like all fighting game tournaments, I met a lot of nice and helpful people and leveled up.
Civil War was the first major I went to.  I went 2 0 in a Persona tournament.  How much I have improved since then.
With a new job, comes money and I was able to order a new arcade stick when I went home.  Already, I replaced some of the buttons for the Q4 as I'm not a fan of yellow.  By next week, I should have artwork already on the arcade stick.
On the Lets Play side of things, I will be playing Dust, Anodyne, and some visual novel soon.  I just need to figure out my schedule.

Top of the Food Chain 7

Tournament: Top of the Food Chain 7

Hello guys.  Yesterday was Top of the Food Chain 7.  Still playing Aquaman since the game's release, I managed to take 9th place at Top of the Food Chain.  TOTFC is a bi-monthly tournament for various fighting games.  Whenever I end up on stream, I post my part on my youtube channel.

I got 9th place. This is my last match. Which happened to be the only one on stream.  I lost my first match with Octoglass and won my other two matches.  Like all tournaments, I learn something and continue to practice.

First Impressions: Anime Pirates

You love One Piece?  You ever wanted to fight alongside Luffy?  You desire to become King of the Pirates?  I sort of have the game for you.  That game is called Anime Pirates!   Anime Pirates is obviously a One Piece MMORPG browser game.

Anime Pirates is pretty colorful and the players will get a chance to run into various characters from the One Piece series.  As someone who is not a fan of One Piece, I could recognize quite a few of the popular One Piece characters.  Any video game based on a particular franchise can be enjoyable despite someone not being a fan of the material (seeing non-anime fans enjoy the daylights out of Gundam Extreme VS Full Boost comes to mind).
Anime Pirates is meant to be played at leisure or not played at all.  There is an auto feature which allows the player to click on the quest and have the player auto walk to the quester.  I then obtain my quest and beat the crap out of my opponents.  The battles are pretty boring.  I set up my crew in the formations that I desire and watch them auto fight the battle for me
The only control that I had in battle was with selecting the formations of my crew on the battlefield and giving them their equipment.

Going Deeper

The more I played, the more options opened up to me.  I obtained more crew members, a ship, and the arena.  I also noticed the game is latent with grammar errors.  If you're like me and tried let's playing this game, then reading obviously grammatically incorrect sentences was a bother.  Every few levels, gave me a change of scenery and the option to fight in the arena.
This is a browser game.  It probably did not take much time to make.  Strangely, I found myself wanting to play more to see what options I was going to get next.  Anime Pirates is available on pirates-anime.com

Messing Around in Antichamber Part 1

Antichamber is apart of the Humble Bundle 11.  It is a unique puzzle, mind screwing game.  I may or may not return to this.  Next up is Dust.  Click here to go to humblebundle.com

Finding Some Games to Play

Last post was about my participation at Northeast Championship.  Good times.  In the future, I would like to buy some an AVerMedia and record my matches for my youtube channel.  With my travels to the local scene Tuesday, Friday, sometimes Sunday, and the occasional Top of the Food Chain (every two months); there is an opportunity for plenty of matches to be recorded.
The next possibility is ever increasing list of video games that are piling up in my collection of video games to play.  One game I am going to playing next is called Endless Ocean.  The graphics are really bad but its more of an educational game that is playable and has some enjoyment in it.  Better to have played the game then to waste the twenty bucks I spent on it.

There's also Dragon Age, Zelda Skyward Sword, among others.
Up on the list are indie visual novels which are easy to make thanks to the visual novel making engine called Ren'py.  There are plenty of good and a TON of more BAD visual novels made by amateurs in the database here.  Then I could download a few games from Steam and Desura (the indie game friendly version of Steam as I have heard the website called).
Any suggestions for games or visual novels you guys would like to see me play from SteamRen'py, and Desura?
